A very special outdoor film screening amongst the redwoods!
Experience the award-winning documentary film GIANTS RISING under towering redwood trees, with featured redwood researcher Dr. Todd Dawson.
Movie-goers can enjoy special pre-movie after-hours (5:00-6:30pm) in the UC Botanical Garden, exploring our collections of plants from around the world, including all three of the world's redwoods--California's giant sequoias, coast redwoods, and the dawn redwoods of Asia. Bring a picnic dinner to enjoy before the movie!
Then head to our historic Redwood Grove outdoor amphitheater for an inspiring talk about tree biology with UC Berkeley professor of Integrative Biology Dr. Todd Dawson.
Redwood Grove Gate opens just before 6:30pm. Film projection begins at sundown, approx. 7:00pm.

CANCELLATION POLICY
All ticket sales are final and non-refundable. The value is not transferable to another program. In the event you are unable to attend, you are welcome to gift or sell the ticket(s) to someone else in advance of the show. The recipient will have to use the ticket purchaser's name for admittance. Absolutely no ticket selling or transfers allowed at the Botanical Garden, including the parking lot.
PARKING
Parking at the Botanical Garden is NOT guaranteed (except at the Supporter level). The adjacent UC parking lot has only 73 spaces - rideshare and carpooling are highly encouraged.
SHOW AND TICKET INFORMATION
All tickets are by registration; no physical tickets available.
Your name and number of tickets will be on the check-in list available at the Entrance and Grove Gate.
Ticket includes admission to the main Botanical Garden collections before it closes at 6:30pm
Seating is general admission in our historic wooden amphitheater. (Stadium chairs welcome) Please contact us in advance if you will need a wheelchair accessible spot.
Bathrooms are located in the main Garden across the street from the amphitheater.
Dress warmly, bring blankets and other items to make yourself comfortable.
