The Garden is thrilled to host a very special evening with two-time Pulitzer Finalist David George Haskell in conversation with KQED radio host Alexis Madrigal as they explore the fascinating revelations in Haskell’s new book How Flowers Made Our World: The Story of Nature’s Revolutionaries. VIP Supporter Levels We are offering a limited-capacity VIP experience in the Garden's Julia Morgan Hall immediately following the talk. This intimate reception includes a catered boxed supper, beverages, and dessert, providing a "priceless" opportunity to meet and mingle with David and Alexis.

There are two tiers to accommodate both individuals and couples:

  • Individual VIP Supporter ($135): Includes admission to the event, the use of one stadium seat, a signed copy of the book, and the private meet-and-greet reception with supper.

  • Couple VIP Supporters ($250): Includes two admissions to the event, the use of two stadium seats, one signed copy of the book, and two entries to the private meet-and-greet reception with supper.

TICKETS AND EVENT INFORMATION
 
Ticket includes all-day admission to the Botanical Garden if you would like to visit before collections close at 5:00pm.
 
Proceed directly to the Redwood Grove entrance anytime starting at 5:00pm before the talk starts at 5:30pm. A reserved seat will be waiting for you in the amphitheater. Although book signing will be happening before the talk, you are welcome to have David personalize your book after the talk at the Hall.
 
Once the talk concludes, proceed to the Julia Morgan Hall for this private VIP reception with supper, approximately 6:45-7:45pm.
