Oakland Samba Revue is the San Francisco Bay Area’s premiere banda de gafieira. Featuring a full horn section with tightly crafted original arrangements featuring 3 vocalists, O.S.R. draws on the sounds of samba de gafieira--an eclectic form of traditional samba from Brazil--while creating their own unique brand with plenty of samba, funk, jazz, forró, bolero and more.
O.S.R. is a product of Grupo Falso Baiano co-founder Brian Moran – “Morangão” (guitar/cavaquinho/vocals and arrangements), backed by a rotating cast of some of the Bay Area’s best jazz and latin jazz musicians including vocalists/percussionists Catia Machado Lund and Katiana Vilá, Zack Pitt-Smith (reeds), Erik Jekabson and Henry Hung (trumpets), Jeff Cressman and Remee Ashley (trombones), Brendan Neutra (bass), Zack Mondlick and Sylvia Cuenca (drums).

CANCELLATION POLICY. All concert ticket sales are final and non-refundable. The value is not transferable to another concert or program.
In the event you are unable to attend the concert, you are welcome to allow someone else to take your spot. The recipient will have to use the ticket purchaser's name for admittance. Absolutely no ticket selling or transfers allowed at the Botanical Garden, including the parking lot.

PARKING AT THE BOTANICAL GARDEN IS NOT GUARANTEED. The adjacent UC parking lot ($1.50/hr) has only 73 spaces - rideshare and carpooling are highly encouraged. A UC Berkeley campus shuttle is available from overflow parking at LHS but departs every 30 minutes. Last ride back up is at 7:07pm. Please plan accordingly!
VENUE AND TICKET INFORMATION
All tickets are by registration; no physical tickets available.
Your name and number of tickets purchased will be on the check-in list available at the Admission Kiosk and Grove Gate.
Ticket includes admission to the main Botanical Garden collections before they close at 5:00pm. Redwood Grove Gate opens at 5pm. Show starts promptly at 5:30pm.
Seating is general admission wood bench amphitheater. (Stadium chairs are great and rentable at the show.) Please contact us in advance if you will need a wheelchair spot with companion chairs or other accommodation.
Restrooms are located in the main Garden and available before, after, and throughout the show. There are no restrooms in the Redwood Grove.
Picnics welcome (alcohol prohibited per UCPD). No concessions provided. Warm clothes recommended.
