Join Chris Carmichael and Garden volunteer Susan Greef in search of both resident and migrant birds in the Garden's many bird-friendly micro habitats. Both beginning and experienced bird watchers are welcome. Bring binoculars if you have them. Advanced registration is required. Open to active members only and children over 10 years old. Heavy rain will cancel the event; dress in layers for chilly mornings.

Location: Please meet at the Garden entrance gates to check-in
Additional Details: The UC Botanical Garden has varying elevations and can be quite steep in some places. We will stay along main, paved path with occasional forays onto gravel/dirt. The walk will take up to 1.5 hours and the distance is approximately 1.25 miles. Restrooms are available in two places.
The weather can shift so please bring layers, sun protection, water and snacks, and comfortable walking shoes. Please bring binoculars if you have them. If you wish to stay in the Garden after the tour, you are welcome to bring a picnic!
Please account for travel time plus paying for parking. As a courtesy please plan to arrive early.

Cancellation Policy: Notification two weeks prior to program receives full refund; less than two weeks receives a one-time credit toward another Garden program to be used within 90 days; less than 48 hours from program start, no refunds or credit will be given for cancellations or absences.
In the event that the Garden has to cancel a program, you will be offered a full refund or the option to transfer to another program.
