Zoom Program: Botanical Illustration with Catherine Watters - Persimmons

Persimmons are among the colorful fruit that Fall offers us to illustrate and savor. Catherine Watters will teach you how to observe, draw, compose and mix colors to capture the beauty this luscious fruit.

All levels are welcome and students may use watercolor, colored pencils or graphite.

About the Presenter: 
Catherine is an esteemed artist who has been teaching botanical art for over twenty years in the San Francisco Bay area. She has curated a number of exhibitions and is the founder and co-founder of four Florilegia. Her paintings are included in several permanent collections in the U.S., Europe and Australia, and appear in numerous books and magazines.

As an instructor, Catherine shares a joy and passion for botanical art as students learn how to "see" plants in a new way and paint botanical subjects with exquisite detail.
