Zoom Program: Botanical Illustration with Catherine Watters - Intro to Botanical Art

Discover the fascinating world of Botanical Art. An exceptional teacher, Catherine Watters will teach you how to observe, measure and draw with botanical accuracy, and understand how light affects form. You will then learn how to mix and apply colors to make your subject come to life. Students will work with graphite, colored pencils and watercolor.  All levels are welcome.

Instructor Biography:
Catherine Watters is an esteemed artist who has been teaching botanical art for over twenty years in the San Francisco Bay area. She has curated a number of exhibitions and is the founder and co-founder of four Florilegia. Her paintings are included in several permanent collections in the U.S., Europe and Australia, and appear in numerous books and magazines.

Please NOTE: All participants are required to have and sign into their own Zoom account prior to joining meetings hosted by UC Berkeley. If you don't already have a Zoom account you can sign up for free here.

Cancellation Policy: Notification two weeks prior to program receives full refund; less than two weeks receives a one-time credit toward another Garden program to be used within 6 months. In the event that the Garden has to cancel a program you will be offered a full refund or the option to transfer to another program.
