Garden members are invited to take an in-depth look at the Crops of the World Garden and our Herb Gardens with Horticulturist Cat Callaway.
See, touch and smell plants used by humans around the world in numerous and inventive ways as we explore the vegetative spectrum from wild to domesticated to feral and back. It is a chance to contemplate our complex and evolving relationship to plants, and the responsibility we have to the diverse food, fiber and medicine plants that enrich and sustain our lives.
Bring your own thoughts and experiences along to share, and your sense of curiosity for history, science and culture.
We will meet for tea and introductions before heading into the Garden! Participants will take home a posy of herbs to further their appreciation of this unique section of the Garden
Registration is open to Garden Members only. The registration fee is $10 per attendee.
