EARTH DAY ZOOM TALK | Paul Walde: Treescape Revolution
This event is no longer on sale.
In honor of Earth Day, the Garden is pleased to host an online talk with Canadian interdisciplinary environmentalist Paul Walde. Walde is an award-winning artist, composer and educator known for site-specific, eco-conscious performances, such as his acclaimed Requiem for a Glacier, which blend music with landscape advocacy. For this talk, he will focus on two works, Forestorium, a full-length opera about the challenges faced by Vancouver Island's primary forests; and Treescape Revolution No.1, a true-to-scale photographic image of one revolution around an entire 36-foot circumference of an old-growth cedar tree.
Program is free, donations welcome, registration required for Zoom link. If you cannot make the live presentation, register to receive the recording for limited-time viewing.
NOTE: All participants are required to have and sign into their own Zoom account prior to joining meetings hosted by UC Berkeley. If you don't already have a Zoom account you can sign up for free here.
