Learn the traditional horticultural technique of grafting--and gain an apple tree!  We'll walk you through the process of grafting: attaching a desirable branch of one variety (scion) to a strong and compatible rootstock of another variety, creating a new tree with the best qualities of both.

Participants will graft and take home two apple trees suitable for our Bay Area climate using heirloom apple scion. All materials and tools provided, including a new Opinel gardening knife to keep. Learn a new skill and add a fruit tree to your garden or a friend's!

Cancellation Policy: Notification two weeks prior to program receives full refund. If you find you cannot attend less than 2 weeks prior to event, you may transfer your registration to someone else by having them use your name at check-in. In the event that the Garden has to cancel a program you will be offered a full refund or the option to transfer to another program.
