Introduction to Botanical Art with Catherine Watters

This event is no longer on sale.

Thursday January 11

10:00 AM  –  4:00 PM

Winter offers us a bounty of beautiful fruit and flowers to illustrate!

Pomegranates, berries, rosehips, and simple roses are among the subjects that will be provided. Catherine will teach you her ‘10 Stages of a Botanical Painting’ to create luminous subjects. After careful observation, you will measure and draw, learn to mix and build layers of rich colors to capture the form and texture.

All levels are welcome and students may use watercolor or colored pencils.
